We´re looking for someone join us remotely from LATAM.

IDT(NYSE: IDT) is seeking a Support Engineer for our growing IDT Express business. IDT Express Voice Engineers work primarily towards solving customer issues across various customer lifecycle stages.  This team member will play a key role in alleviating customer issues to the best of his/her satisfaction. Issue resolution may involve working with cross functional teams internally including core engineering team, sys-admins, platform engineers, carrier routing team and commercial account managers. In a few cases it may involve going beyond the line and assisting the customer troubleshoot their internal sip servers or hosted voice platforms.

Responsibilities:
  • Investigate, diagnose and resolve voice (voip)  issues including various platforms, trunk setup, firewalls, codecs, sip messaging, applications, inbound / outbound calling, caller ID, & calling features.
  • Develop and maintain expert understanding of all IDT Express applications and products.
  • Perform advanced technical presentations for customers, and prospects remotely and in-person.
  • Create user guides for technical setup of various systems, to create a knowledge base of self guided user help.
  • Actively participate as a SME for voice & DID products, providing consultative support to other Sales Engineers in their area of specialization.
  • Responsible for continued education on the platform and underlying technologies
Qualifications & Skills:
  • 2-10 years of demonstrated Voice Engineering experience
  • VoIP Network Architectures (including experience with all VoIP network elements – Soft Switch, MGW, MGC, SBC, CPE, etc)
  • Technically relevant certifications such as Cisco (CCNA, CCNP) Linux, SIP, Security, etc.
  • Understanding of customer communications requirements for enterprise business markets
  • Thorough competitive telephony and network knowledge - SIP, RTP/RTCP, QoS, Codecs, and other VoIP Standards
  • Strong background and knowledge of Cloud and Premise UC/Voice Solutions (Cisco, Microsoft, Ring Central, 8x8, Avaya, Shortel, Mitel, etc..)
  • Familiar with Large/Enterprise VoIP migrations and deployments. Experience with migrations to Cloud Voice/UCaaS preferred
  • Experience with Edgemarc SBC/Routers, Cisco Routers/Switches, Netgear SOHO routers/firewalls, HP and D-Link managed switches, Sonicwall Security Appliances, Polycom VoIP phones, Yealink VoIP phones, Obi analog to SIP adapters (ATA) and other popular industry devices.
  • Pre-Sales experience preferred.
  • Experience with consultation and design of small business to enterprise networks.
  • Ability to work in a cross functional team, with a customer first attitude.

  • Clear communication skills.
  • Bi-lingual is a plus.
