Position:             Modern Channel Manager

Location:             Bogotá, Colombia

Reports to:         Senior Sales Manager

OVERVIEW:

The Modern Channel Sales Manager leads and manages all sales operations within modern trade customers. Has a sales reposability of USD$53MM.  The main objectives of this position are to increase sales for all Newell segments (HA, Writing, O&R, Food) by defining and implement long term sales strategy and  identifying key price and portfolio definition and channel management to ensure an ominichannel functionality across colombian Retailers & e- Retailers. Modern Channel Sales Manager will also be responsible  for establishing the opening strategy of hard discount formats (D1, ARA). Ensure smooth and on time collaboration with other support areas of the business including Marketing, Supply, and Finance. Standardizing commercial terms within segments and key customers, overseeing correct and efficient trade spent (gross to net) and working closer with customer marketing to ensure proper channel activation and monitoring. Responsible to lead and develop his direct reports and ensure cross selling model efficient operation.

FUNCTIONS:

  • Design and implement a strategic modern Channel plan that expands company´s customer base and ensure strong Omni channel presence across the retailers.
  • Lead the team of Key Account Managers, promoting growth in clients such as Exito, Alkosto, Sodimac, Falabella, etc.
  • Ensure omnichannel business strategies ensuring the maximization of customer platforms
  • Increase the presence of segments such as writing,Food, O&R, leveraging on the strength of the Oster brand in this channel
  • Plan to ensure achievement of  Modern Channel sales goals while aligning with company sales policies and strategies.
  • Establish sales objectives by forecasting and developing annual sales quotas for key Retailers customers; projecting expected sales volume and profit for existing and new products.
  • Develop, maintain and implement sales programs by developing field sales action plans.
  • Build and promote strong, long-lasting customer relationships by partnering with them and understanding their needs and to assess the quality of our company’s relationship with them.
  • Ensure targets are delivered through people management, performance review, reward and individual recognition
  • Present sales, revenue and expenses reports and realistic forecasts to the management team.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor´s Degree in Business, Marketing, Sales or related field.
  • Advanced English level.
  • +8 years of experience in Sales / Marketing.
  • Travel required.
